Akathist to the Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos. Prayer to the belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary Akathist to the belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary read

The creation of the most famous and prolific writer church services XX century, monk Gerasim (Grekas) Micragianite (1905-1991), resident of the Holy Skete of St. Anna Minor. This Athonite ascetic and Hymnographer of the Ecumenical Patriarchate is the author of countless church services and hymns. The legacy of his pen was 47 volumes, 750-800 pages each. In the Greek Menaion and Book of Hours, among the inscriptions of hymns, his name is increasingly adjacent to the names of such great hymnographers as John of Damascus, Cosmas of Maium, Andrew of Crete and others. Having lived most of his life (about 70 years) in the Garden of the Mother of God, on Mount Athos, Father Gerasim, like all Athos residents, had a special love for the Mother of God. The expression of this great love for the Abbess of the Holy Mountain, among his other creations, is a real akathist. Turning to the shrine, the elder turns to the One who Sanctified the belt by wearing it on His Christ-bearing Most Pure Body. In a similar way, saying "rejoice" to the Holy Cross, we bless the One who was nailed and crucified on it, the Master of Christ.

The akathist was translated into Church Slavonic at the Sacred Great Monastery of Vatopedi in 2011 on the occasion of bringing the Holy Belt of the Mother of God to Russia.

Prayer to the Belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Good time of the day Everyone! We will be glad to see you on our video channel in YouTube Video channel. Subscribe to the channel, watch the video.

All women by nature have the main mission - the birth of a child. But there are situations when it is not possible to become a mother. There may be various reasons for this, which are not always related to the state of health. It happens that both spouses are healthy, but the conception itself does not occur. And at that moment, the most important thing is not to give up, but to believe in a miracle. Many women do this. In an effort to find a child, they read prayers, and also look for the Belt of the Virgin. Many say that the miracles of the Belt of the Virgin are the ability to conceive a child, save pregnancy, and contribute to a successful delivery.

The meaning of the Belt of Our Lady

Nowadays, this relic is divided into three parts. All of them are stored in different places. This belt is considered the only surviving relic of the earthly life of the Virgin Mary. According to legend, it was made from camel hair by the Mother of God herself. And after the Assumption at the Ascension, she gave it to the Apostle Thomas.

There are a large number of legends about the miracles of healing the Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos. For example, during the reign of Emperor Leo the Wise, his wife, who was possessed by an unclean spirit, was healed. The most basic miracle of this flap is considered a cure for infertility. Women who cannot have children receive braid from the Ark. And if a woman sincerely wants to become a mother, then she will definitely become one.

It is known for sure that parts of this flap are in the Vatopedi monastery on Mount Athos. But the way there is closed for women, since this is a male monastery. There is still a particle in the monastery of Trooditissa in Cyprus. There is another part in the Cathedral of the city of Jerusalem. But it happens that it is taken to other temples, where you can come and kiss. This rarely happens, but if you get the opportunity, be sure to take it.

What helps the Belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The appeal to this shrine has various reasons, and each has its own. Most frequently referred to:

  • about giving children
  • about building faith
  • about healing from various diseases,
  • about strengthening relationships.

In addition, in order to become parents, they also ask for healing from such a terrible disease as oncology. But the most important thing for which this thing is glorified is the enlightenment of the mind with the divine light that comes from the Belt. Many believe that if you read the prayer piously, then they will be granted liberation from sins. That is why it is worth addressing prayers to the Belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

If you have a sincere desire to become parents, then try to bow to the Belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It will not be superfluous to read prayers. And if you have a chance to get a ribbon from the ark, then keep it constantly nearby. Maybe someone will be in holy places and will be able to bring.

The prayer before the Belt has the following words:

Troparion, Prayer to the Position of the Honorable Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos

“Theotokos Ever-Virgin, protection of men, the robe and belt of Your most pure body, the sovereign city of Your taxation gave you, with Your seedless Christmas, you are imperishable, for You and nature are renewed and time. Moreover, we pray Thee to grant peace to Thy city and great mercy to our souls.

“Oh, Blessed Mother of God, Immaculate and Rejoiced, may we, Your weak people, rejoice, as if by Your Power and Power, crush all our enemies visible and invisible, may we glorify and exalt Thee, like the Invincible Victory of the Almighty.”

“My queen, my hope is the Mother of God, a friend of orphans and strange representatives, grieving joy, offended patroness! See my misfortune, see my sorrow, help me like a weak one, feed me like a strange one. I’ll offend my weight, resolve it, as if you will: as if I don’t have another help for You, or another intercessor, or a good comforter, only You, O Bogomati, as if you save me and cover me forever and ever. Amen."

These words must be spoken from the heart and with sincere faith. Only then will they benefit and give you the desired miracle.

Prayer to the belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary

What and how to pray to the Mother of God

In case of any troubles and hardships, the prayer of our Queen of Heaven, the Mother of God, helps. Whatever happens in your life - serious illnesses or minor domestic troubles, whether you are in poverty, need, loneliness, whether you feel abandoned, whether you suffer from evil people, whether you are tormented by longing, despondency, or feel weak, helpless, or the weight of sins is pressing on you, or there is confusion in feelings and thoughts, and there is no clarity, order - ask for help from the Most Holy Theotokos, and she, like the most loving mother, will respond, respond, take away your sorrows, and give strength to overcome adversity, on the true path instruct. After all, she is our Heavenly Mother, and we are her children. And who, like a non-loving mother, understands her children, sympathizes with them and always extends a helping hand, no matter what they have done, and no matter what happens in their lives!

Always remember that our Heavenly Mother loves us as we are, never punishes, never condemns, and always forgives us for everything. So great is Her love - that all our sins and hardships begin to seem small, and simply melt in the Divine rays of this great love.

With this in mind, start and end your every day with prayers to our beloved intercessor, the Mother of God, the Most Holy Theotokos. The main of these prayers is the "Song of the Most Holy Theotokos."

Song of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Many people read this prayer in lines to the ark with the Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos, and over the Belt itself, falling to it (or simply passing under it, as was the case in some churches), and continue to read, wearing the ribbons consecrated on the Belt.

According to the rules of the Russian Orthodox Church, there are also special prayers that must be read just before venerating the shrine. Here they are.

Troparion of the Position of the Holy Belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary, tone 8

Ever-Virgin Mother of God, protection of men, the robe and girdle of Your most pure body, the sovereign city of Your taxation You have given, Your seedless Christmas is imperishable, for You and nature are renewed and time. We also pray to Thee to grant Thy city peace and great mercy to our souls.

Kontakion of the Provisions of the Holy Belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Tone 2

Your God-pleasing womb, the Mother of God, enclosing Your honorable belt, the power of Your city is invincible and the treasure is not scarce of the good, the only one who gave birth to the Ever-Virgin.

Kontakion of the Provisions of the Holy Belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Tone 4

The honorable belt of Your position celebrates Your day, Prepetaya, the temple and diligently calls out to Thee: Rejoice, Virgin, praise of Christians.

This is the troparion and kontakion of the feast of the Deposition of the Honorable Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos, which is celebrated on September 13 (August 31 according to the old style) - but they are not necessarily read only on this day, it is possible on any other, both above the Belt itself, and above the ribbon consecrated on Belt, and whenever you need help and support from the shrine, and through it - from the Mother of God herself.

There are many other prayers of the Mother of God that help in various situations of life, which can also be read, asking for help through the Belt of the Virgin. Here are a few of them.

What to pray to You, what to ask of You? You see everything, you know Itself: look into my soul and give her what she needs. You, who have endured everything, overcome everything, you will understand everything. You, who raised the Child in a manger and accepted Him with Your hands from the Cross, You alone know the whole height of joy, all the oppression of grief. You, who received the whole human race as an adoption, look at me with maternal care. Lead me from the shadows of sin to Your Son. I see a tear that irrigated Your face. It is over me that You shed it, and let it wash away the traces of my sins. Here I have come, I am standing, I am waiting for Your response, O Mother of God, O All-Singing, O Mistress! I don't ask for anything, I just stand before You. Only my heart, a poor human heart, exhausted in anguish for truth, I cast down to Your Most Pure Feet, Lady! May all who call upon You reach the eternal day with You and bow down before You face to face.

Prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos, protecting from despair

Lady, my Most Holy Theotokos. With your all-powerful and holy prayers before our Lord, take away from me, your sinful and humble servant (name), despondency, foolishness and all filthy, crafty and blasphemous thoughts. I beg you! Take them away from my sinful heart and my weak soul. Holy Mother of God! Deliver me from all evil and unkind thoughts and actions. Be blessed, and may Your name be glorified forever and ever. Amen.

Prayers of repentance to the Most Holy Theotokos

Most Holy Lady Theotokos, one who is purest in soul and body, one who exceeds all purity, chastity and virginity, one who has completely become the abode of the entire grace of the Holy Spirit, the most immaterial forces here still incomparably surpassed the purity and holiness of soul and body, look at me vile, impure soul and the body of the one who blackened my life with the filthy passions, cleanse my passionate mind, make immaculate and well-order my wandering and blind thoughts, put my feelings in order and guide them, free me from the evil and vile habit that torments me to impure prejudices and passions, stop every sin acting in me, grant sobriety and prudence to my darkened and cursed mind to correct my creeps and falls, so that, freed from sinful darkness, I would be able to boldly glorify and hymn you, the only Mother of the true Light - Christ, our God; because every invisible and visible creature blesses and glorifies you alone with Him and in Him, now, and always, and forever and ever. Amen.

Undefiled, Neblazny, Imperishable, Most Pure, Not Bride of the Bride of God, Mother of God Mary, Lady of the World and My Hope! Look upon me, a sinner, at this hour, and from Thy pure blood unskillfully gave birth to the Lord Jesus Christ, be merciful to me, make Thy motherly prayers; That ripe one is condemned and wounded with a weapon of sadness in the heart, wound my soul with Divine love! Togo, in chains and reproach, the highlander mourned, grant me tears of contrition; with the free passage of that to death, the soul was seriously ill, free me from illnesses, but I glorify Thee, worthy of glory forever. Amen.

Intercessor zealous, compassionate Mother of the Lord! I resort to You, accursed and most sinful person above all: heed the voice of my prayer, and hear my cry and groaning. Like my iniquity, having surpassed my head, and I, like a ship in the abyss, I plunge into the sea of my sins. But You, All-good and Merciful Lady, do not despise me, desperate and perishing in sins; have mercy on me, who repent of my evil deeds, and turn my deceived, accursed soul to the right path. On You, my Lady Mother of God, I place all my hope. You, Mother of God, save and keep me under Your shelter, now and forever and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayers of supplication to the Most Holy Theotokos

To whom shall I cry, Lady? To whom shall I resort in my sorrow, if not to Thee, Queen of Heaven? Who will receive my weeping and my sighing, if not You, Immaculate One, the hope of Christians and the refuge of us sinners? Who else will protect you in misfortune? Hear my groaning and incline Your ear to me, the Lady of the Mother of my God, and do not despise me, demanding Your help, and do not reject me, a sinner. Reason and teach me, Queen of Heaven; do not depart from me, Thy servant, Lady, for my murmuring, but wake me Mother and Intercessor. I entrust myself to Your merciful protection: bring me, a sinner, to a quiet and serene life, and cry for my sins. To whom shall I resort guilty, if not to Thee, the hope and refuge of sinners, with hope for Thy inexpressible mercy and Thy bounty we enshrine? O Lady, Queen of Heaven! You are my hope and refuge, cover and intercession and help. My Queen, Favorable and quick Intercessor, cover my sins with Your intercession, protect me from enemies visible and invisible; soften hearts evil people who rise up against me. O Mother of the Lord my Creator! You are the root of virginity and the unfading color of purity. Oh Mother of God! Give me help to those who are weak with carnal passions and who are sick of the heart, for Yours alone and with You Your Son and our God imam intercession; and by Your wonderful intercession, may I be delivered from all misfortune and misfortune, O Immaculate and Most Glorious Mother of God Mary. The same with hope, I say and cry: Rejoice, Blessed One; rejoice, overjoyed; Rejoice, Blessed One: The Lord is with you!

My Tsarina Preblagaya, my hope, Mother of God, Friend of orphans and strange Representatives, grieving Joy, offended Patron! See my misfortune, see my sorrow, help me, as if I am weak, feed me, as if strange. I’ll offend my weight, resolve it, as if you will: as if I don’t have another help for You, or another Representative, or a good Comforter, only You, O Bogomati, as if you save me and cover me forever and ever. Amen.

O Blessed Virgin, Mother of the Lord Most High, Intercessor and Protector of all who resort to You! Look from the height of Your saints on me, a sinner (name), falling to Your pure image; hear my warm prayer and bring it before your Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ; implore Him, may it illuminate my gloomy soul with the light of His Divine grace, may it deliver me from all need, sorrow and illness, may it send me a quiet and peaceful life, health of body and soul, may my suffering heart die and heal its wounds, may it guide me for good deeds, let my mind be cleansed from vain thoughts, but having taught me the fulfillment of His commandments, let it deliver from eternal torment and let it not deprive me of His Kingdom of Heaven. O Holy Mother of God! You, "Joy of All Who Sorrow", hear me, the mournful one; You, called "Assuagement of Sorrow", quench my sorrow as well; You, "Burning Kupino", save the world and all of us from the harmful fiery arrows of the enemy; You, "Seeker of the Lost", do not let me perish in the abyss of my sins. On Tya, according to Bose, all my hope and hope. Be my Intercessor in my temporary life, and about eternal life before Your Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, Intercessor. Teach me to serve that with faith and love, but to you, Most Holy Mother of God, Blessed Mary, reverently honor until the end of my days. Amen.

Prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos, read on Sunday, by the Monk Nil of Sora

O all-merciful Virgin Mother of God, Mother of generosity and philanthropy, my most gracious hope and hope! O Mother of the most sweet, first-born and all love surpassing the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lover of mankind and my God, the Light of my darkened soul! I fall down to You, a sinful one, and I pray to You, a source of mercy and an abyss of bounty and philanthropy giving birth: have mercy on me, crying out painfully, have mercy on me, all wounded, fallen into fierce robbers, and from clothes, clothed me in the skin of the Father, alas for me, naked. The same smerdesh and gnash my wounds from the face of my madness. But, my Lady, the Mother of God, I humbly pray to you: look at me with your merciful eye, and do not disdain me, everything darkened, everything defiled, everything immersed in the mire of sweets and passions, fiercely fallen and rise up not powerful: have mercy on me, and give me a helping hand, in a hedgehog erected by me from the depths of sin. O my Joy! Deliver me from those who bypassed me; Enlighten Your face on Your servant, save the perishing one, raise up the fallen one: you can do everything, like the Mother of God Almighty. Pour out on me the oil of Thy mercy, and give me the wine of compunction to sharpen me; For you, truly, there is only one hope in my life. Therefore, do not reject me, who flows to You, but see my sorrow, Virgin, and the desire of the soul, and accept this and save me, Intercessor of my salvation.

Song of Praise to the Most Holy Theotokos

To you, Mother of God, we praise; We confess thee, Mary, the Virgin Mary; Thee, the eternal Father, the Daughter, the whole earth magnifies. All the Angels and Archangels and all the Beginnings humbly serve you; All the Powers, Thrones, Dominations and all the exceeding Powers of heaven obey you. Cherubim and Seraphim rejoicingly stand before you and cry out with an unceasing voice: Holy Mother of God Mother, heaven and earth are full of the majesty of the glory of the fruit of your womb. The Mother praises the glorious apostolic face of her Creator to you; Thee are many martyrs, the Mother of God magnifies; The glorious host of confessors of God the Word calls the temple to you; The dominating half of virginity preach an image to you; All heavenly armies praise the Queen of Heaven to you. The Holy Church glorifies you throughout the universe, honoring the Mother of God; He exalts thee the true King of heaven, the Maiden. You are the Lady Angel, You are the door of Paradise, You are the ladder of the Kingdom of Heaven, You are the King's chamber of glory, You are the ark of piety and grace, You are the abyss of bounty, You are the refuge of sinners. You are the Mother of the Savior, You are the liberation for the sake of a captive person, you perceived God in the womb. You have trampled on the enemy; You opened the doors of the Kingdom of Heaven to the faithful. You stand at the right hand of God; You pray to God for us, Virgin Mary, who will judge the living and the dead. We ask you, Intercessor before Your Son and God, Who redeem us with Your blood, so that we receive retribution in eternal glory. Save Thy people, Mother of God, and bless Thy inheritance, as if we were partakers of Thy inheritance; forbid and keep us even to the age. Every day, O Most Holy One, we wish to praise and please Thee with our hearts and lips. Grant, Most Merciful Mother, now and always from sin, save us; have mercy on us, Intercessor, have mercy on us. Be Thy mercy on us, as if we trust in Thee forever. Amen.

Prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos of St. Ephraim the Syrian

Prayer Appeal to the Most Holy Theotokos of St. John of Kronstadt

O Lady! Yes, not in vain and in vain do we call You the Mistress: reveal and manifest over us Your holy, living, active dominion. Reveal, for you can do everything for good, as the Mother of the all-good of the all-good King; disperse the darkness of our hearts, reflect the arrows of crafty spirits, flatteringly moved at us. May the peace of Thy Son, Thy peace reign in our hearts, may we all joyfully exclaim: who is after the Lord, like our Lady, our all-good, all-merciful and most swift Intercessor? For this you are exalted, Mistress, for that an abundance of unspeakable divine grace has been given to you, for that inexpressible boldness and strength at the throne of God and the gift of almighty prayer have been given to you, for this you have been adorned with indescribable holiness and purity, for this you have been given unapplied power from the Lord, so that you can preserve, protect, intercede, purify and save us, the inheritance of your Son and God, and yours. Save us, O most pure, all-good, all-wise and all-merciful! You are the Mother of our Savior, Who of all names deigned to be called the Savior more than anyone else. It is natural for us, wandering in this life, to fall, for we are overlaid with many-passionate flesh, surrounded by spirits of malice in high places, seducing to sin, we live in an adulterous and sinful world, seducing to sin; and You are above all sin, You are the brightest Sun, You are the Most Pure, All-good and All-pleasing, You tend to cleanse us, defiled by sins, as a mother cleanses her children, if we call on You humbly for help, You tend to raise us, who are constantly falling, to intercede to protect and save us, who are slandered by the spirits of evil, and to instruct us to walk towards every path of salvation.

Prayer to the Mother of God for children

O Most Holy Lady Virgin Mother of God, save and save under Your shelter my children (names), all the youths, maidens and babies, baptized and nameless and carried in the womb of their mother. Cover them with the robe of Your motherhood, keep them in the fear of God and in obedience to your parents, implore my Lord and Your Son, may He grant them useful things for their salvation. I entrust them to Your Motherly care, as You are the Divine Protection of Your servants.

And as often as possible, on any day and hour, you need to say a short prayerful invocation of the Most Holy Theotokos.

Brief Prayer Invocation

Holy Mother of God, save us!

And if it is especially difficult for you, and immediate help is needed, the fulfillment of the Theotokos rule will help, which, according to legend, the Mother of God herself gave people from Heaven back in the 8th century. But after that, for some time, it turned out to be forgotten, and Seraphim of Sarov reminded of it, who himself fulfilled this rule, and blessed his spiritual children in the Diveevo monastery to do the same.

The benefits of following this rule are enormous! Even in hopeless situations thanks to him there is a way out. Unexpected help comes from where you do not expect it. We begin to receive patronage from a variety of people, and ill-wishers, even without our efforts, are put to shame and simply disappear from our lives.

It is not so easy to fulfill the Theotokos rule - but each of us can decide for himself whether the efforts spent are worth the great help and grace that descends upon us in the end.

Actually, the Theotokos rule is to read the “Song of the Most Holy Theotokos” 150 times:

Virgin Mother of God, rejoice, Blessed Mary, the Lord is with you; Blessed are You in women and blessed is the fruit of Your womb, as if the Savior gave birth to our souls.

But it is necessary to read like this, not continuously 150 times in a row, and after each ten add other prayers, special for each ten. Thus, we divide the reading of the prayer into fifteen tens, corresponding to the fifteen main events in the life of the Virgin.
