Despite this, the autumn time can also become beautiful and full of colors during the onset of sunny days. Cheerful children run around the city parks, play, collect colorful bouquets from fallen leaves.

At home, I begin to collect a variety of crafts for school and kindergarten sometimes just for myself. There are a huge number of exciting ideas, and our article will be about them.

  • Stationery (Glue, pencil, scissors, paper, white and colored cardboard);
  • Threads;
  • Wish.

Possible options for crafts from leaves

Application of autumn leaves

It is considered the simplest type of leaf crafts. You and your child can easily make an application in the form of animals or birds.

With the help of dry leaves, PVA glue and paper, you can count to create. In order to make the work more vivid, use leaves of various colors.

Crafts from leaves and cardboard

Making crafts from cardboard and leaves is not difficult. You just need to cut the base out of cardboard and glue dry leaves to it.

Herbarium

One of the most fascinating and common types of crafts for children is an amateur herbarium. You can collect many types of natural material, according to which your baby will be interested in exploring the variety of plants growing in your area. Use as many types of plants as possible to create a beautiful herbarium.

Garland of autumn leaves

Dry the leaves, then dip each of them in yellow paint to give the leaves a brighter color. Then we hang the leaves to dry in the form of an elegant garland.

It is necessary to take maple leaves of different sizes and colors, then cover them with a transparent varnish. After the leaves dry well, you need to hang them on strings, decorate with beads or beads and hang them up. The resulting pendant will be a great decoration both on the street and in the house.

Bouquet of flowers from autumn leaves

Flowers created from maple leaves look very impressive.

Vase of leaves

You can use any leaves you like. For one vase, you can use several types of leaves, different in color and shape, or you can make them from the same ones.

Instructions on how to make crafts from leaves Application First you need to prepare all the necessary materials and shoot the table with oilcloth.

To create an overhead application, you should draw the picture itself on the cardboard, then put the leaves on the drawing, you do not need to cut the leaves, they are used as a whole. Everything that is not enough can be finished with paints or made from other materials.

Silhouette application, created from cut leaves. The leaves are cut to embody with the help of them, the conceived pattern.

The most difficult way is to create a modular application. It is made from leaves of the same size. In this way, fish scales or bird feathers are made.

To obtain a symmetrical application, it is necessary to select paired leaves that are identical in all respects.

Note!

Tape - with its help create many details in one picture.

Herbarium

It is better to collect leaves for a herbarium in dry weather, as wet leaves require additional processing. Each detail of the herbarium must be straightened with a cold iron, before that, carefully remove all creases of the sheet.

If the street is constantly damp and there is no time to wait for dry weather, then they should be allowed to dry on their own. After the leaves have dried, they are ironed with a warm iron, placing them between two sheets of paper. It is not necessary to press the iron on the leaves, just press a little so as not to flatten them.

The prepared elements are placed on a sheet of paper, which will serve as a background and at the same time a frame. Fix the leaves with thread or glue.

Bouquet of flowers/rose

In order to get neat and beautiful flowers, the leaves must be even and clean. Place the paper directly in front of you, fold it in half. Then you need to twist half the leaf into a tube, but do not twist it very tightly, the flower should be voluminous.

It turned out the core of the flower, we make the petals from the rest of the leaves. Insert the core into the second maple leaf. In turn, wraps the edges of the sheet so that petals are obtained. The sheet can be fixed with a thread so that it does not fall apart later.

Note!

To make the flower voluminous, at least six or seven maple leaves should be twisted in this way, each of which is fixed with a thread. To create a bouquet, you need several of these flowers.

Vase

To make this craft you will need:

  • PVA glue;
  • Leaves of different colors;
  • Regular balloon.

It is necessary to inflate the balloon to the desired size of the vase. Take glue diluted half and half with water. Lubricate one half of the ball with glue solution.

Each sheet must be properly glued and smeared on top with another layer of mortar so that the upper layers of the sheets hold just as well. When you have glued the top layer, then it should also be smeared with glue.

After that, remove the ball for a few days until completely solidified. When our fake is completely dry, it will be necessary to burst the balloon. A vase of leaves is usable. Making such a work is not difficult, but very interesting, so it is good to do it with children.

Photo crafts from leaves

Note!

Autumn is golden time. Fallen leaves cover the earth with a magic carpet. Who among us hasn't brought leaves home? However, although they are unusual in color, it will be much more interesting to create an autumn bouquet of leaves and decorate your home with them.

We offer a master class with a description of several options for creating such a product with your own hands. It will not only add zest to your home, but also to the autumn photo shoot.

Memories of autumn

We will need maple leaves of various colors and threads.

Fold the first sheet in half across. And roll it into a tight tube.

This will be the center of our flower. Now we take the second sheet, apply it with the front side to the bud blank. We fold it in the same way in half, you can 1/3.

Then slightly turn off the top of the second petal and wrap around the bud. On the contrary, we attach the third sheet in the same way.

So we form the whole flower, and each subsequent row should fit a little more freely to the previous one.

We fix the thread at the base.

For your confidence, if you are making such a bouquet for the first time, you can attach each sheet to sewing.

We wrap the bouquet with a sheet larger than the flowers, we also fasten it with a thread.

You can wrap it in beautiful paper, or you can leave it like that.

Another variant

This version also consists of roses, however, the folding of the leaves is different.

Here's what we'll need:

  • 10 maple leaves of different sizes and colors per flower. They should be slightly dried up, even freshly fallen, as they will be more plastic;
  • right there in the forest you can pick up twigs, they will go to the stems;
  • green teip tape;
  • scissors.

We take the smallest sheet, turn it to ourselves with the inside. Bending the tops, wrap in a roll. We get the middle of the flower, as shown in the photo.

We take the second sheet, bend the middle top and apply it to the bud. Then, in turn, bending the edges of the sheet, we wrap it.

Thus, we attach the leaves. It is better to apply them in order of increasing size and overlap.

We can fix the finished flower with a thread. We attach a branch to it, we wrap it from the base of the flower and along the entire length of the stem with teip tape.

We connect all the received flowers in a bouquet. We can decorate at our discretion.

Adding variety

We will need:

  • slightly dry leaves of birch, aspen, etc.;
  • jute rope;
  • balloon;
  • PVA glue;
  • glue gun;
  • branches with rowan berries.

As you can see, it is necessary to make a ball out of jute thread. We take a balloon, inflate it and wrap it with jute, while generously lubricating it with PVA glue (you can also use wallpaper). We are waiting for it to dry. We pierce and remove the ball.

Now let's start making flowers. To do this, take a leaf and fold it into a bag, fasten the edges with hot glue.

We wrap the next sheet around it, we also use glue. Thus, we fasten all the leaves, while each subsequent one should be equal to or slightly larger than the previous one. We form a rosebud.

You can apply hot glue on the petals, imitating dew. Now we insert the flower into the jute ball, fix it with glue.

So we make out the whole ball.

If desired, at a stage while the jute ball is still wet, you can make a flat bottom and decorate only the convex part.

Now we fill the voids with rowan berries so that the jute is not visible at all.

Such a non-standard bouquet can fit on a vase, or you can provide a loop and then hang it, for example, on the door.

Fourth way

It is most likely suitable for joint creativity with a child, because it is very simple and does not require special skills and abilities.

Material and tools:

  • leaves (children will be interested in collecting them with you);
  • thin twigs for the stem;
  • cardboard;
  • PVA glue;
  • green paint, acrylic is better, but gouache, watercolor are also suitable;
  • tassel;
  • half-liter glass jar;
  • piece of fabric;
  • rubber;
  • satin ribbon.

On a piece of cardboard we glue the leaves in a circle with an overlap, and choose the largest ones.

We take the leaves for the next row a little less and place them in a checkerboard pattern relative to the previous ones.

The third, for our example, the last, row can be folded from three small leaves, or we can take the petals of dried flowers.

We can close the middle with a bead, a rhinestone, or we can glue a very small sheet and paint it. Here is a piece of cloth.

While our flowers are drying (choose the quantity yourself), we paint the branches green.

When all the parts are dry, we attach the flowers and individual leaves to the twig.

Now let's take a look at the bank. We decorate it with a cloth, fastening it to the neck with an elastic band, and cover the mount with a satin ribbon.

We place our flowers in a transformed jar. Although, if desired, it can be replaced with a beautiful vase.

As you can see, there is a lot of potential in autumn foliage. You can create amazing bouquet compositions by adding additional decor in the form of berries, dry herbs, cones, etc.

Video on the topic of the article

In continuation - about how you can make a beautiful bouquet of ordinary maple leaves. Fold the first sheet in half, right side out.
And now we turn it into a tight roll, it will be the core of the future rose.
Now around this core we begin to lay the petals. To begin with, we take a sheet and place a core in its center. Note that the front side of the leaf is inside the flower!
Fold this sheet in half. The edge of the inflection is located above the core by a centimeter and a half.
And now we also bend this protruding edge outward. But the fold is no longer smoothed and the side edges of this double-folded sheet are wrapped on both sides around the core.

We take a new sheet for the next “petal” and repeat the operation just performed, only this petal is located on the opposite side of the first sheet.

Here, several stages of the same type, shown above, are skipped, when the petals are collected in a bud. Add them until you feel enough.
When the bud is ready, we tie its base with threads to secure the flower.

Reminds me of exotic houseplants.

Made buds can be painted with gold paint and used as a Christmas tree decoration.

A new autumn has come, and our golden autumn bouquet of roses made from leaves is becoming relevant again. This is just some kind of miracle! The reality of unreality - fold rose petals from a maple leaf!

The author of the idea of making roses from autumn leaves is my colleague, elementary school teacher Natalya Yakubova. Unfortunately, her lesson - how to make a rose from maple leaves - was copied from us by many sites without attribution to these materials ...

We are happy to share this art with the readers of the site site.

So, a virtual lesson from Natalia: the sequence of making such a wonderful bouquet of roses from leaves, with my photos and comments.
At the end of the article - advice from our readers who have learned how to make a bouquet of roses from leaves.

How to make a maple leaf rose step by step

We collect suitable leaves (too small, dry, diseased, torn leaves are NOT suitable for us) of various colors. For the manufacture of one flower, it is better to choose leaves of the same color.

We fold the first sheet in half, across the central vein - so that the front side of the sheet is outside.
And now we turn this folded sheet into a tight roll. This roll will be the "core" of the rose.

Now, around this "core" of the flower, we begin to lay the "petals". To begin with, we take a sheet, and in its center we place a “core” (note that the front side of the sheet is inside the future flower!).
Fold this sheet in half. The edge of the inflection of the "petal" is located above the "core" by a centimeter and a half. Smooth out the fold of the sheet.
And now this protruding edge of the sheet is also bent outward, but the fold is no longer smoothed ...

We wrap the side edges of this double-folded sheet on both sides around the “core”.
We pinch the lower edges of the leaf at the very base of the flower.
We take a new sheet for the next "petal" and repeat the operation just performed. Only this petal is now located on the opposite side of the first sheet.

Next, we perform several similar operations, adding new leaves - now the petals are going into a bud. Add leaves until you feel it is enough to complete the flower.
When the bud is ready, we tie its base with threads to secure the flower.
How many flowers will be in your bouquet - you decide. For this "photo shoot" we had three ...

Making a bouquet

Now let's deal with the "greenery" of the bouquet framing our roses. The most beautiful and colorful leaves are suitable here.

So that these leaves do not curl up into a tube the next day when they dry, it is better to iron them beforehand between sheets of newspaper. After this procedure, they will become more fragile, but with careful handling they will not be damaged.

We evenly arrange the prepared leaves in a circle, placing them under the buds in the hand. Then we fix the now ready-made bouquet at its base with the same threads.
By the way, on top of the threads, it will be possible to wrap this knot with yellow paper tape (painting tape). The tape will hide the threads and make the bouquet look neater and more complete.

Here is our autumn bouquet of maple leaf roses and ready!
I'll tell you a secret that I folded one of the three roses of this bouquet :)

But what advice did we get from the users of the forum site www.eva.ru:
“In order for a bouquet of roses from leaves to stand longer, it is necessary to smear the already twisted roses with vegetable oil (with a brush). The oil is absorbed in two days. The leaves become soft, do not dry out, do not lose color and do not shrink.

Tips from our readers:

“Indeed, flowers from the leaves lubricated with sunflower oil last much longer. Checked: our rosette has been standing for a year, and still the same beauty :)
By the way, you can add a couple of drops of essential oil to sunflower oil. I added pine - I really liked the result. And you can take orange - it has been proven that it improves mood. Experiment!".

“Sunflower oil will eventually dry out and turn into a sticky drying oil.
Florists for use.
If you put twigs or leaves in a mixture of glycerin with water (3: 1, hot water), they will not dry out, but remain soft. The only thing is that an unpredictable change in the color of the leaves is possible.
Probably, you can grease the autumn leaves with pure glycerin for softness. Or liquid silicone.

“You can go to the flower department and ask to douse all this beauty with a special varnish, which cut flowers are treated when necessary and when not necessary.”

“You can process a ready-made bouquet of roses with ordinary hairspray :)))
I watched how they make a passe-partout from autumn leaves - they are covered with some kind of special glue that makes the entire texture of the leaf clear. Then all his veins become very distinct, and the color of the sheet plays.

“At home I have a spray bottle of flower polish (well, to make the glossy leaves of houseplants shine better). So we covered our bouquet of 11 roses with this varnish, and it turned out really cool!

“I was able to secure such a stunning bouquet of autumn leaves with melted wax. Roses and individual leaves have not lost their color after such treatment and have been delighting us for the second year!”.

“We also sprinkled our roses with sparkles, and it turned out generally gorgeous!”.

“Last fall, I painted roses made from rose leaves with gold paint, and in winter I decorated the Christmas tree with them.”
Here's what happened:

“And we in Israel made roses from plane tree leaves.”

“We don’t have red-leafed maples in the area. I had to use wonderful crimson-red leaves both to make miniature roses and to frame the bouquet.

“Maple leaves for making roses must be large. Moreover, if the size of the leaves is different, then you need to start with smaller ones, because. for the growing volume of the rose, each time a larger leaf is needed.

What a beautiful autumn time! It was sung by poets, composers in their works, artists painted many paintings - after all, autumn is truly a magical time. In my work with children, I try to use every day of this enchanting time of the year to show the bright colors of autumn, listen to beautiful music, read poems by great poets, and, of course, I do not miss the opportunity to make all kinds of crafts from natural materials.

After all, the rose is the queen of flowers.

There is nothing more tender and beautiful in the world,

Than this bundle of scarlet petals,

Opened with a fragrant cup.

S. Ya. Marshak

The ancient Greeks considered roses a gift from the gods, and the Romans considered them a symbol of courage and carved her image on their battle shields.

I love roses very much and try to master all kinds of ways to make them from fabric, ribbons, paper, orange peel, and of course from autumn leaves.

By right, maple leaves are considered the most beautiful leaves in autumn. The guys and I have already made many arrangements of roses made from maple leaves. But I think that other leaves can be great for making them, for example, birch.

I want to offer to your court one of the ways to make roses from birch leaves.

We select leaves of different sizes, about 7 - 8 pieces of small, medium and large

Cut off the sharp top of the leaf to give it a rounded shape.

We fold several of the smallest petals so that one slightly covers the other.

Roll them up into a roll. This will be the center of the flower.

Around it, we alternately lay the following petals, small, then medium, and large.

To prevent the rose from falling apart, do not forget to fix it more often with a thread at the base of the flower.

Here is our rose. The outer petals can be slightly bent to give a more natural look. For the "greenery" framing the flower, any beautiful leaves are suitable. I borrowed them from the roses themselves.

(If you need a bud, then use fewer petals).

This is the composition I got

To make our flowers last longer, you can sprinkle them with hairspray or open them with sunflower oil with a few drops of any essential oil.

Happy creativity. I would be glad if this material is useful to someone.
