He slowly rolls something out of a handkerchief with which he has just fanned himself. Under dexterous fingers, hare ears first appear above the knot of the muzzle, and the other knot turns into a short tail. Many probably remember from childhood such a bunny from a handkerchief.
In an instant, he became the one and only, the most beloved, and at night he took a place under the pillow. Once, having gone to the laundry with another batch of laundry, he never returned. All attempts to roll the cute, unpretentious bunny out of a handkerchief again ended in failure. The ears are not the same, the pattern of the handkerchief does not lie on the back, and the folds on the muzzle are different. And in general, this is not the same bunny, and it’s very disappointing that they persuaded me to part with him. There will never be such a bunny again, only two or three deft movements will remain in memory, reviving a child's fantasy.

This bunny is the brother of the ancient magical lullaby of Insomnia. When, for no apparent reason, a baby began to cry, the mother, in order to calm him down and protect him from evil spirits, quickly folded a charm doll from two pieces of fabric and threw it into the cradle, saying:

To make an Insomnia doll, take two handkerchiefs of approximately the same size or two flaps of not very dense fabric of the same size. One scarf is folded in half diagonally (Fig. a). At its opposite ends, knots are tightly tightened (Fig. b).

Then the scarf is unfolded and a ball of tangled scraps of threads or thin strips of fabric or a lump of linen or hemp tow is laid in its center.

And we apply this twist to the back of the Bunny's neck (Fig. 8). These will be the hands. Now, with the remaining end of the thread, we tie the hands to the body, applying the thread crosswise. With the last loop we fix the thread on the bunny's belt (Fig. 9). The remaining end of the thread can either be bitten off or hidden inside the fabric.

Now the Bunny needs to be straightened, get along and meet a new friend!

There is another option, how you can make a Bunny out of fabric very simply - this is a Hare from a scarf. A handkerchief is suitable for its manufacture. You can make it on the road to pass the time on the road. Then you can untie it and it will become a handkerchief again!
