Crochet flowers: patterns and lessons. Crochet carnation crochet carnation flower diagram and description

Crochet a fluffy carnation flower for decoration or as a gift for Victory Day.

For knitting, the remnants of yarn left over from large works, as well as strong threads from loose things, are ideal. You can safely experiment with shades and their combination, because carnations are very different in nature. The flower can be used not only as an independent element, but also as an additional decor for clothes, hair bands, hairpins.

Materials for creativity

To knit a carnation flower, in addition to you will need:

    1. yarn "Areola" pink and green;
    2. hook 1, 75 mm;
    3. scissors;
    4. wooden stick;
    5. glue gun;
    6. needle.

You can take a red or white thread.

For convenience, the following abbreviations are used in the text:

      • SSN- a column with 1 crochet;
      • SS3N- a column with 2 crochets;
      • RLS- single crochet;
      • SS- connecting column;
      • VP- air loop.
      • KA- amigurumi ring (sliding loop).

Step by step knitting technique

Make 4 loops and close them into a ring with 1 sl-st. Then start knitting 1 row inside the ring.
Make 3 lifting loops and work 5 dc. Then work 1 sl-st in 3 instep sts.
In a new row, make 5 lifting loops and knit 1 CC3H to the same point. Next, knit 2 CC3H in each loop of the previous row.

The next 2 rows consist of sc only. Therefore, at the beginning of each of you need only 1 lifting loop. Knit 1 sc in a separate loop. And in the new one - 3 sc in each loop.

Start a new row with 3 stitches, then knit 2 more dc here. Then the whole row - 3 dc in each loop of the bottom row.

To get a magnificent carnation, it remains to crochet the last row. Ch 5 and work 1 sc in next st. And again 5 VP and 1 RLS in a new one.

So you need to tie the entire row to the end.

The first detail of the carnation is ready, crochet another one of the same, or better two, then the flower will be more magnificent.

To knit a sepal, take a green thread. In CA, do 6 sc. Next, knit a row, adding in each loop. Then add through one. And knit another row with increments, this time through two loops of the row.

Do not add the next 6 rows. It is not necessary to tighten the ring to the end, then with the help of this hole you need to attach the stem.

Now insert the crocheted parts of the carnation into each other, and then into the sepal. Sew a flower with a needle. Just pass a needle with a green thread along the loops of the last row of the sepals, while holding the flower itself inside.

Wrap a wooden stick or cocktail tube with green thread. At the beginning and at the end, fix the thread with glue.

For a leaf, dial 15 VP and crochet 1 element in a separate loop: 1 sl-st, 3 sc, 2 prss, 2 dc, 2 prss, 3 sc, 1 sl-st.

Attach the leaf to the stem, and insert the stem into the sepal. Fix with glue.

Delicate crocheted carnations are suitable for creating a small bouquet. They can be beautifully packaged or "planted" in a pot, like a beaded violet. If you do not attach the stem, you will get the basis for a brooch or decor for a beret, hat, bag.

See what else you can knit from the leftover yarn in our workshops, for example, like this, for hot or. Such trifles are ideal for gifts to colleagues, girlfriends, neighbors.

February 23 - the day of real men, defenders of the Fatherland! On this wonderful holiday, we give gifts to our men. And it is for such a day that we will knit a flower in this master class, which will always personify happiness, immense joy and, of course, victory. Carnation knits for a short time. And it looks really festive and very beautiful. From afar, it even resembles a living flower. For knitting carnations we need:

  • yarn (white, red and green);
  • hook;
  • teip tape;
  • wire or newspaper tube.

We will start with the flower itself. And make it white with a bright red border. You can also tie just a red or pink carnation. So, to begin with, we will collect a chain of air loops. Loops should be eight. Now we simply form a ring from our resulting chain, into which our knitting will begin. Next, we begin to knit a flower. At the beginning of the row, we will always make three air loops. We will have such a small chain of loops instead of the first double crochet. And then we will knit only with double crochets. We knit in a circle that was formed from an air chain, twenty-five columns. And at the very end, we will connect the end and the beginning of our first row with a connecting loop. Now let's start knitting the second row. It should contain more columns. Therefore, we will double their number. And we will knit two columns in each loop. So we have fifty columns at the end of the circular row. And knitting will already begin to curl. Get wavy. We need this in order for the flower to turn out magnificent. In the third row, we again double the number of columns. And we get a hundred pieces at the end of the row. The flower will begin to curl even more. Again, in the next fourth row, we will double the number of loops. And we get already as many as two hundred pieces. And then we will go alternate knitting. We knit one column in a loop, then two, again one and so on in a circle. And here we no longer double the number of loops, but still add. And it will turn out at the end of knitting this row of only three hundred columns. We will knit the fifth row in the same way as the fourth. And in it we get four hundred loops. All. This completes the knitting of the main element of the flower. This is how fluffy he is. Now take a bright red yarn and tie our flower. You can do without red, and tie with the same white yarn. But a two-tone carnation will look more interesting. We knit one single crochet. And we make three loops of air. And again in the next column we will knit a single crochet column. And so in all columns in the previous row. Here we have such a flower. Now we will tie leaves for him. Let's make twenty-one loops. We knit in subsequent loops like this: a connecting column, one column without a crochet, one half-column with a crochet, one column with a crochet and thirteen columns with two crochets. And then one double crochet, half double crochet, single crochet and connecting column. Next, we will make a stem for the leaves and the flower. We take either a wire or a newspaper tube, wrap it with teip tape. And do not forget to attach our leaves to the stem. Now we glue the flower itself to the top of the stem with hot glue. You need to glue it as tightly as possible so that the flower does not hang or hang down. Here we have such a bright and fluffy carnation! It can be used in the decoration of pillows. And you can also tie a couple more of the same flowers and collect these flowers in a beautiful festive bouquet that you can decorate the house with or give to someone.

This detailed master class with photos and descriptions will teach you how to make flowers from polymer clay for hairpins with your own hands. This detailed crochet tutorial will teach you how to crochet flowers.

Recently a friend who is just starting to crochet asked me how to crochet studs. Is it very difficult? Of course, I answered her that it was as easy as shelling pears, and literally explained the process in two sentences. At the same time, she was very surprised, because she imagined knitting such a flower as a painstaking and long task.

And indeed, in the eyes of an inexperienced beginner, a connected carnation may seem like the height of “hooked” craftsmanship. After all, it is voluminous, and inside there are so many things imposed ...

And in fact, everything is simply disgraceful. Actually, this is why I love the hook, because thanks to it, using often the simplest posts and air loops, you can create such beauty that you can show it with pride and not be ashamed to give it.

So I thought: why not show how carnations are knitted, so to speak, “on the fingers”, especially for beginners, and those who are still considering whether to learn to crochet or not.

We knit a carnation

Do not look at the yarn that I took for the sample and the hook. This is for illustration purposes only. Such things will look good from "Iris" or other cotton yarn, crocheted No. 1.5 plus - minus. For example, from this one:

To begin with, we will make and connect into a ring a chain of 8 loops, of course, air ones:

Now you need to tie 20 double crochets into this ring. Instead of the first column, we make three lifting loops, and knit another 19 in a ring. We end the row with a connecting column in the upper (third) lifting loop.

In the second row, you need to double the number of columns, i.e. in each column of the previous row, knit two. At the beginning of the row (this and all subsequent ones) we knit three loops on the rise, we knit the next column in the same base loop and, as I said, 2 columns in each next loop.

We get 40 columns.

In the third row, in the same way, we again double the columns and get 80:

Double the columns in the fourth row (we get 160):

We do the same in the fifth (we get 320 columns), sixth (640) and seventh (1280).

I apologize for not finishing the last three rows. The weaves of this yarn are clearly visible in the photo, but to the hands it turned out to be very unpleasant: rough and prickly. I think it’s clear that with each new row the number of “twists” increases and at the end of the seventh row you will get a carnation, as in the very first photo, if you knit with normal threads.

I also want to add that you can make the flowers even more beautiful if you tie the top edge with single crochets with yarn of a slightly different color. For example, for a white flower, it can be pale pink (and even pale blue, if you do not strive for complete naturalness), for pale pink - dark pink, for yellow - orange, etc.

Knitted carnations can be used in different ways: decorate an elastic band for hair, attach to a brooch base or plant on an artificial stem with leaves.

I hope that if you were faced with the question of how to tie carnations, then after this article it disappeared.

Flowers in every home are the embodiment of warmth, love and the presence of the female. This beautiful and pleasant thing is always pleasing to the eye. But, unfortunately, the cut one will not last long in a vase, even if you give them careful care and attention. Therefore, for a replacement, I suggest you crochet flowers.

And a little more about knitted flowers:

I want to bring to your attention patterns for knitting roses, poppies, violets, callas, bells, carnations, tulips, orchids, sunflowers, daffodils and other flowers. A beautiful flower can stand on its own in your vase, or you can crochet a whole bouquet, wreath or garland to decorate your interior. This carefully compiled selection will tell you how to crochet flowers: a detailed description and patterns.

You can also decorate clothes, a handbag, hair, a hat and other things with knitted flowers. And here are some tips to help you in crocheting flowers:

To achieve lightness of the flower, it is better to use muted colors.

If you use thin threads, then to get a larger flower, increase the number of loops in the pattern.

Beads give a beautiful shine to the work, especially as a core and stamens. But you can also use ready-made stamens.

If you have several identical parts (petals, leaves or flowers), stretch the finished element with your hands so that they all have the same size and shape.

When you start assembling on a special wire, in order to get the most natural look of the connected flower, it is important to give the correct shape. Look carefully at the photos of fresh flowers so that each crocheted flower looks as natural as possible.
